bbnaija kayvee

Season 6 Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Reality Show kicked off on Saturday 24th July 2021.

This edition which is tagged “Shine Ya Eye” introduced 22 housemates (11 males and 11 females) to viewers of the show.

Among the 22 housemates, Kayvee was not one of them. However, two weeks after the show, Kayvee and three other housemates entered the house, while three others were evicted.

Kayvee was the 24th housemate introduced into the house. According to him, he is a self-confessed bad boy. He had believed that his diverse background will help him keep his head in the game.

Kayvee joined the second stream of new housemates but exited almost immediately he joined. As in, Kayvee’s stay in Big Brother Naija did not last long as he withdrew from the show due to his medical issues.

So, I am wondering “what happened to all the requirements of BBNaija that must be met before one is finally selected as a housemate?”

One of the requirements has it that prospective housemates must be medically fit before they can qualify as housemates.

View their exact word “You must be emotionally and mentally stable to handle the heat of the show for a period of 90 days without contact with the outside world.”

So, is BBNaija playing games? Is there some confusion somewhere? Or is this another script? Even their post about Kayvee’s exit from the show was not honorary enough…

View their post below:

“@Bigbronaija: Breaking news: Kayvee, one of the housemates in the Big Brother Naija “Shine Ya Eye’ Season, has been exited from the house on medical grounds. Prior to this, he had a consultation with big brother, and the on-site medical team, where it was decided that he had to leave the house for a more thorough medical investigation. Multichoice and the show producers are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all housemates in the Big Brother house at all times.”

If you read through the post very well, you would notice that first of all, they did not actually mention his Instagram handle like they usually do when they are posting about housemates.

Secondly: “More thorough medical investigation.” What exactly do they mean by this? The last time I checked, thorough means painstaking and careful… Like I mentioned earlier, is it not part of Big brother’s requirements that prospective housemates medically fit, emotionally, and mentally stable to handle the heat of the show for a period of 90 days without contact with the outside world. So, how did he pass the final screening if they still want to check him medically after gaining entrance into the show? Did the sickness disappear during the screening? Did it now re-appear during the show? Hmm, odi egwu!

Thirdly: ““Multi choice and the show producers, are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all housemates” What does this mean exactly? Is he carrying a contagious disease or what? Anyway, regardless of the writer’s opinion about the dishonorary way he was treated and exited the show, Kayvee still thanked BBNaija organisers. View his post below:

“Mrkayvee: Thank you so much, @BigBrother for the fantastic opportunity to be on the platform. Kayvee will always cherish this opportunity and experience. Immense gratitude to Multi choice_group and Africamagic. It’s upward from here.”

But what is he thankful for, when he had hoped to return to the show after his recuperation.

“We can’t wait for y’all to experience Kayvee’s Talent and Growth. With your love and support, we are certain Kayvee will come back stronger and better.” View what former Bbnaija housemate, Erica has to say about his exit from the show:
