About some hours ago, INEC declared Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke as the winner of the Osun State Governorship election.

About 15 parties tussled for the seat, but PDP candidate, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, and APC Candidate, Gboyega Isiaka Ayetola had the highest votes. However, Senator Ademola of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) emerged winner.

Senator Ademola won Mr. Gboyega with 28, 344 votes (Twenty-eight thousand, three hundred and forty-four votes.) Senator Ademola pulled a total of 403,371 votes from 30 Local Governments while Mr. Gboyega pulled a total of 375027 votes from 30 Local Governments.

Mr. Gboyega’s highest votes were from Osogbo Local Government and his place of birth at Boripe Local Government. He had 22,952 votes and 21,205 votes respectively.

For Senator Ademola, his highest votes came from Osogbo, Olorunda, Ede- North, and Ede- South Local governments. He pulled 30l,401 votes, 21,350 votes, 23,931 votes and 19,438 votes respectively.

Senator Ademola is from Ede Local government and family to popular international Nigerian singer and songwriter, David Adeleke aka Davido.

If you are a loyal fan of Davido, you would agree with me that Davido was really a major contributing factor to the emergence of Senator Ademola as the Osun State Governor.

Davido heavily joined Senator Ademola’s campaign. He used his various social media platforms with over 50 million followers to canvass for votes. He believed in his uncle’s good plan for the people of Osun State and massively gave him 100 percent support.

Congratulations to Senator Ademola Adeleke now Governor Ademola Adeleke, congratulations to Davido, and congratulations to the Adelekes’. Congratulations also to the people of Osun State. Imole de!
