Honestly, I am feeling so sad as I pen down this write-up. When does this want to end? Will it ever end? Why Nigeria? Why Nigerians? What exactly did we do to be paid back in so much evil like this? It first started with the abduction of 276 Chibok girls in 2014 under the tenure of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. About 112 Chibok girls are still missing. This Buhari’s regime is even worse. There is an alarming increase in Kidnapping, prostitution, robbery, fraud, yahoo-yahoo, rape, immorality, assassination, remorseless acts, and all sorts of crime.

This morning as I prayed for Nigeria, uncontrolled tears filled my eyes; I just couldn’t control the tears. Still on the issue of “Kidnap” There are still other kidnap cases where students and staff were kidnapped. Talk about Kankara (2020); 344 students were kidnapped but were later released (Ope ni fun Oluwa.) Dapchi (2018); 113 students were kidnapped. 107 of them were released and 6 were killed. However, Leah Sharibu is still missing.

Just when the country was chanting “release our children,” another kidnap happened again about a week ago. It happened in Government Science College Kagara Niger State, North Central Nigeria, Niger, Minna. About 42 people; comprising students, staff, and families were kidnapped. This made the Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello, order the immediate closure of all boarding schools in the bandit-ravaged areas after the attack in Kagara. The Senate asked the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency on security.

It really seems like some people are really gambling with the affairs of this nation; and picked the education sector as their target. Most Nigerians believe the politicians are the ones behind the kidnap and are doing this to loot the wealth of the country. Just imagine, on Sunday, 21st February 2021, a military plane was on the way to Minna to rescue the 42 abductees, but the plane crashed. There was no survivor; all the 7 people on board died. May God really help us in Nigeria!

Latest update on the Kagara kidnapped

The 42 abductees have been released. How? We don’t know. But the governor of Niger, Abubakar Sani-Bello said no ransom was paid, even though before their release, he said they were in their final stages of negotiations; so contradictory. What then were they negotiating? The Federal Government said no ransom was paid; what y’all think about that? Maybe it is the strategies that the government put in place that helped rescued them; the kinetic and non kinetic strategy. (Whatever that means; kindly share via the comment box.)
