POOR ELECTRICITY IN NIGERIA

The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mele Kyari says Nigerians do not have electricity because the production is low.

He also says the reason for poor electricity in Nigeria is because of people’s refusal to partake in Gas development.

Kyari says that although Nigeria is known as an oil country it is more a gas nation than oil. He believes that gas will help the country out of its major electricity challenge. He assures that NNPC would continue to work to ensure full gas development in the country for economic growth.
