SAMPLE ESSAY ON: HOMESTAY DURING THE CORONAVIRUS ERA

Coronavirus aka COVID19 is a worldwide infectious disease that originated from Wuhan, China, in 2019 but escalated all over the world in the year 2020.

Some of its symptoms include fever, dry cough, sore throat, headache, tiredness, loss of taste and smell..

To curtail the further spread of the virus, we were all asked to stay at home. Mum and dad couldn’t go to work. My siblings and I couldn’t go to school either.

Staying at home during the pandemic was kind of a little fun for me; even though things became different from the norm. I got used to a different school setting. Classes were delivered through virtual classroom (online) rather than a physical classroom.

Having an online class made me sleep for extra hours, watch more cartoons and spend more time with mum, dad and my siblings; who could not also go out because of the coronavirus pandemic.

My lesson teacher, Ms. Joyous, also frequented the house to guide us in our studies when the lockdown was finally eased.

Dad and mum even made the staying at home more fun after the lockdown was eased. My brother and I got nice gifts from our parents. They took us shopping. I also got a phone as a gift from my mummy.

Daddy also called in the painters to paint our rooms. They painted my room blue. It is beautiful now.

But now that the lockdown has been eased; the virtual classroom has been stopped, and has automatically given way for the physical classroom. That means I have to start waking up early again.

I love the virtual classroom experience though and wish to continue with it. But, if coronavirus means more of a virtual classroom; I don’t want a virtual classroom then. Because I want the coronavirus disease to leave this world!
