For days leading to weeks, Nigerians dragged a Twitter user, Abolere @ysone2, for his insensitive tweet about dying Medical Doctor, Chinelo who was shot by bandits during the Abuja-Kaduna train attack on Monday, 28th March 2022.

Chinelo was a medical doctor at St Gerald’s Hospital in Kaduna before her death. On that fateful day, after the attack, Chinelo had asked Nigerians to pray for her that she had just been shot by bandits.

View her tweet below “I am on the train. I have been shot. Please pray for me.”

However, rather than get prayers in return, some Nigerians had wished for her death. Leading the pack was Abolere who asked her if she was dead already. View his tweet below:

“Are you dead now?”

Chinelo eventually died hours after. Nigerians did not find Abolere’s tweet funny, as they attacked him, and threw insults at him. Some even went as far as preparing his obituary. The insult was too much that he had to protect his tweets, thereby blocking all aside from his followers out of his page. But Nigerians did not stop hurling insults at him, they continued trolling him in whatever avenue they found.

They also went to dig out more insensitive tweets similar to his or worst than his about Chinelo by other Twitter users. View some of them below:

BIG DAVE @odogwupanther: I don’t understand! Why would someone believe this? You got shot on a train, instead of calling for help, the next thing is to come on Twitter and say we should pray for you. Who does that? And moreover, no one is on the train with you. Brother Shazam.

Olamilekan Idriz @SHOW_007: You should be able to record and give us video evidence since you still have the strength to tweet.

Hadar Ahmad @HaidarAhmaad: May you get shot before tomorrow morning. Nonsense!

Here is the Abuja-Kaduna manifest. The passengers were mostly of the following tribes…

After reports that about nine hundred (900) passengers bought the train ticket heading to Kaduna made headlines, the Kaduna State Government has released the true details about the number of tickets bought to debunk fake reports.

The Government of Kaduna released the manifest for the Abuja-Kaduna train service AK9.

The manifest showed that 398 passengers bought tickets for the journey. However, 362 boarded the train through the gate. They were mostly of Igbo, Yoruba, and Hausa tribes.

All you need to know about the Abuja-Kaduna train attack

On Monday, March 28th, 2022, an unconfirmed number of Nigerians en route to Nigeria Northwest, Kaduna were attacked by bandits on a train.

It was gathered that the journey was supposed to last for two hours. The train departed from Idu Train Station, Abuja State, Nigeria at about 6 pm. It was scheduled to arrive at Kaduna’s Rigasa Train Station by 8 pm.

However, the attack happened an hour 45 minutes after the departure; around 7:45 pm precisely, 15 minutes to their main destination.

That means, they were already close to Kaduna, they were in Kitari when the attack happened.

The train was bombed twice, and some people were shot at which took the lives of scores of people and created an avenue for the bandits to kidnap the other passengers that did not die in the bush. Some passengers escaped though.

The passengers that escaped the attack hinted that the bandits arrived on motorbikes holding firearms and other deadly weapons.

After the attack by the bandits, the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) halted its operations briefly along that path.

If you recall, there was an attack at the Kaduna Airport by bandits two days before the Abuja-Kaduna attack. It was gathered that two personnel from the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) were killed and several other workers kidnapped.
