WHY IS GOD NOT DISCONNECTING SOME OF THESE DJS WHEN THEY…
DJ abbreviated from the word Disc Jockey is a person who mixes music from recording media such as laptops, CDs, Digital audio files on a CDJ Controller or Cassettes.
They have a piece of audio equipment where they mix songs together, do a lineup of songs with corresponding rhythms or tempos (so that they do not crash and for smooth transition), and play those songs simultaneously. (Wikipedia)
He/she plays recorded music for an audience at musical shows, a party, on a radio/television station, club, or at any event.
Now, this audience comprises both adult and young ones. It however seems like these DJs are oblivious of this. It seems like they have visualized their audience to be just adults with the kinds of really selected vulgar songs they play; which really doesn’t make sense.
It doesn’t make sense because these extremely vulgar songs they play are just not it. “Vulgarism” has taken over the music scene, vulgar lyrics in all songs; and DJ’s have picked interest in these songs with vulgar lyrics.
And I mean all DJ’s! When radio djs play these songs; they play the version edited by them, otherwise known as a radio edit. And in all honesty, too many “radio edit version” kills the flow of a song.
Just imagine, at a recent street party in my area, a DJ had played a vulgar song repeatedly. The song has lyrics like “Oko dun gan o…” This is a Yoruba word which when translated to English means “The p-nis is so sweet” And I am like, God, why don’t you just disconnect all their musical equipment at that moment they choose to go senselessly vulgar especially where kids are, and keep him/her busy with searching for ways to reconnect the musical tools back but with no success.
Or better still, I am like, God, why can’t these songs suddenly disappear from these DJs playlists when they are about to play them?
I mean how could that DJ have played such a song, and even repeatedly in an area where lots of kids are?
DJs have indeed corrupted our children, they have corrupted the world with their interest in vulgar songs. What do y’all think?
